About Chinese Society Electrochemistry (CSE)
The Chemical Society of Electrochemistry was formally founded in 1988 to meet the growing development and needs of fundamental and applied electrochemistry in China. CSE is an associated organization of the Chinese Chemical Society. Main objectives of CSE are to advance electrochemical science and technology in China, and to promote international cooperation in electrochemistry.
The Executive Committee CSE consists of 24 members and 8 honorary members, which is entrusted with the management of CSE. The Committee performs all administrative tasks relating to the operation of the Society and is assisted and coordinated by the CSE Office. At present the CSE Office is located in Xiamen University
CSE serves both the individual and the scientific and technological community by the organization of biennial meeting of the National Conference on Electrochemistry that is attended by about six hundred electrochemists and students. The meeting emphases on new developments in electrochemical science and technology in areas such as energy storage and conversion, new materials, sensor and environmental techniques in additional of fundamental researches such as interfacial-, nanoscale- and spectro-electrochemistry.
The official journal of CSE is Chinese Journal of Electrochemistry (CJE) published in Chinese and with English abstract. At present the editorial office of CJE are located in Xiamen University.
CSE has an Award of Young Chinese Electrochemists, which is given biennially for 2-3 Chinese electrochemists under age of 40 who have made outstanding contributions to electrochemical science and technology in China.
CSE has co-operation agreement with ISE. The CSE chairman is also the regional representative of the International Society of Electrochemistry (ISE).
